You can use paper tea bags for composting, as they contain about 4% nitrogen and 0.5% phosphorous plus traces of other elements. Also, the tea is slightly acidic so it can help to lower the pH of your soil. However, some brands of bag are not fully compostable as the material used will rot down only very slowly.
