The two most commonly seen contorted willows are 'Tortuosa' with green twigs and 'Erythroflexuosa' with orange shoots. Both can be grown from hardwood cuttings taken when the plants are dormant. You can use shoots up to 2 metres long as cuttings. Just sharpen the base to a point and push the bottom 30cm into the ground.
