When can I prune my bottlebrush plant?

Our Advice:

Prune immediately after the flowers have finished. Cut off the sections of shoot that had flowers on them and remove any thin, straggling shoots. After pruning, feed the shrub with a general fertiliser such as Vitax Q4 or Pelleted Chicken manure, mixing it into the soil surface. Water the soil so that the plant can take up the fertiliser.
