The Spotted snake millipede is up to 2cm long, has a slender, creamy white cylindrical, segmented body, with two pairs of legs to each segment. They lie of their side and coil into a circle when disturbed.

Symptoms

Millipedes will sometimes damage seedlings and other soft plant growth. They have weak mouthparts and feed mainly on decaying plant material or bulbs, tubers and root vegetable which have already been damaged. Millipedes can be numerous in soils with a high organic matter content.
