I use Eucalyptus for flower arranging, how do I stop it getting too big?

Our Advice:

If you have not taken all of the shoots for your arrangements, prune the plants in alternate years. Cutting all of the shoots back to their bases. They can be grown as coppiced plants where they are cut down to 5-7.5cm above the ground. Feed them each spring with a balanced fertiliser to encourage a supply of vigourous new shoots.
