How can I stop grey squirrels digging up and eating my bulbs?
Try grating a covering of scented soap over the soil as soon as your bulbs have been planted. This will need replenishing every 2 to 3 weeks until the new shoots emerge. You often find that once the bulbs are established they will be left alone: squirrels seem more interested in newly-planted bulbs, particularly crocus and tulips.
