How do I stop my rhubarb producing flower stems?

Our Advice:

Cut down the flower stems to stop the plant producing seeds. Next autumn dig up and divide the rhubarb crown, but discard the middle section where the flowers originate. Replant the outer, young sections of the crown, but let them grow for a year before harvesting any stalks.
