How do I store bare-root plants until I can plant them in the garden?
Wrap the roots in wet newspaper and place in a bucket or open polythene bag. This will keep the roots moist, but allow them to breathe. Store the plants in a cool, frost-free place such as a garage. Check regularly to make sure the roots do not dry out. Start planting when conditions are suitable.
