My Swiss cheese plant drips water from the leaf margins, why?

Our Advice:

This is a natural process within the plant called guttation and usually occurs when a plant is being over-watered. If it continues, the cells along the leaf margin may split open and die, leaving brown, dead edges on the leaves which are prone to fungal infection. Reduce the watering, particularly in winter, so the compost is just moist.
