Why do my Pelargonium cuttings keep rotting from the base?
This 'black leg' is often caused by an infection entering the cut surface at the base of the cutting. After preparing the cuttings, leave them in a shady place for about 30 minutes to let them wilt slightly and allow the cut surface to dry. Then insert them into pots of sandy compost and cover them with a white plastic bag.
