In 2022, you can look forward to not one, not two, but three inspirational events from BBC Gardeners’ World. For the very first time, this year the BBC Gardeners’ World Autumn Fair joins the line-up, at the spacious grounds and estate of one of England’s grandest mansions, English Heritage’s Audley End House and Gardens near Saffron Walden in Essex.
BBC Gardeners’ World Spring Fair, 29 – 1 May at Beaulieu, Hampshire
BBC Gardeners’ World Live, 16 – 19 June, Birmingham’s NEC
NEW: BBC Gardeners’ World Autumn Fair, 2 – 4 September, Audley End, Essex
To kick off the gardening season in style, the BBC Gardeners’ World Spring Fair returns to Beaulieu, home of the National Motor Museum and Palace House, in Hampshire’s New Forest from 29 April to 1 May. Full of spring garden inspiration, visitors will be able to buy spring plants, explore Beautiful Borders and ‘Small Space’ garden features, get seasonal gardening tips and shop for plants and gardening kit as well as tasty food from the BBC Good Food Market. Headline Fair partner Hillier present the Hillier Experience with a large garden feature, 121 advice from their experts and extensive shop where visitors will be able to buy some of their latest plant introductions.
Adam Frost joins the Fair on Friday, with Joe Swift on Saturday, sharing expert knowledge at the BBC Gardeners’ World Magazine Stage alongside the Magazine editors and Gardeners’ Question Time’s Matt Biggs. Leckford Estate will present a new garden design and Jon Wheatley presents a ‘Working Garden’ featuring a home office set within a productive plot. New Plant Expert Tours will take visitors to explore highlights of Beaulieu’s Victorian floral and kitchen gardens. All this, plus the return of the Beautiful Borders and Small Spaces to give visitors plenty of spring garden inspiration.
Hot on the Spring Fair’s heels, the flagship Show, BBC Gardeners’ World Live, heads into its 30th year at the NEC from 16 to 19 June. This significant year also marks the BBCs centenary, making it a joint celebration! A host of features within the Floral Marquee will be inspired by popular BBC programmes, from The Repair Shop to Antiques Roadshow and a Peaky Blinders feature created by Alex Froggatt (Platinum Award winner at BBC Gardeners’ World Live 2019). Frances Tophill will present her first ever Show Garden with a strong sustainability theme, along with the APL Avenue Show Gardens, Beautiful Borders, and more. A full line-up of Gardeners’ World presenters includes Monty Don, Adam Frost and Joe Swift, joined by Alan Titchmarsh, with four stages packed with tips and advice around the Show. The BBC Good Food Show Summer also returns, having taken a break in 2021, with wall-to-wall food, drink and famous faces including Dame Mary Berry.
To close the gardening year, the first ever BBC Gardeners’ World Autumn Fair launches in association with English Heritage, taking place the stunning grounds of Audley End House and Garden, in Essex from 2 to 4 September. The Fair will feature the very best of autumn gardens, with experts including Adam Frost and Joe Swift, Plant Expert Tours in the grounds of Audley End, Beautiful Borders and APL Small Gardens feature, live entertainment, BBC Good Food Market, street food and much more to be confirmed.
