There are many types of capsid bug and there are many species. Some are sap-sucking pests that feed in shoot tips, and flower buds.
Signs of damage are visible from May to early September when young leaves near the shoot tip open up misshapen. Affected leaves may have multiple small, brown-edged holes or tears. Affected flower buds may fail to develop or, some cases, flowers will develop with irregular or distorted heads.
Now you know what the problem is, and the damage it is doing, don't let your plant suffer.
