The Beechgrove Garden

This enjoyable series airs on BBC2 at 9:30am on Sunday mornings and on the iPlayer for a week after each broadcast. Although it has been running for some 35 years in Scotland, it is new to the rest of us and is now being shown nationwide. The programme echoes the best of Gardener's World in its heyday, with an abundance of horticultural tips for both beginners and seasoned enthusiasts. It has a team of enthusiastic presenters with years of practical experience between them and an infectious desire to pass this on to other gardeners. The latest addition to the existing team of Jim McColl, Carole Baxter, George Anderson and Carolyn Spray is Chris Beardshaw, a trained horticulturist well-known for his Gold medal winning gardens at Chelsea and Hampton Court. His breadth of knowledge encompasses the practical aspects of both design and use of plants. Have a look and see what you think.
