Also called the 'Tree poppy' Rhomneya coulteri prefers a warm, sheltered position and hates being moved. The stems usually die down to ground level during the winter, so pruning mostly consists of cutting all of the dead stems down to ground level in the spring, but this often makes the plant producing loads of sucker shoots.
